Lead singer Julian Casablancas confirmed this on his website Sunday. He left fans guessing Friday afternoon by tweeting a clue: "Yep. Party in the USA. March 5th."
It's been a pretty busy week for the band that hasn't been active in the past four years. The group released its first single, "Under Cover of Darkness," to its new album Angles on Tuesday, and later released the album artwork on Friday. Check it out below.
The band's SNL appearance will most likely be the best part of the episode, as the show is experiencing one of its worst seasons in years. And let's hope that Miley Cyrus doesn't pull what Bon Jovi did when he hosted and Foo Fighters were the musical guest by playing her own material when The Strokes should be on the stage.
