Okkervil River performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in early January to promote its forthcoming album, I Am Very Far. They played the song "Wake and Be Fine," but before the show lead singer Will Sheff tweeted that the band would be playing two songs. That second performance has finally surfaced, and in it the band plays "Weave Room Blues," a B-side that will not be on the forthcoming album.
There isn't an explanation as to why there was such a delay in posting the video. Web exclusives are usually online as soon as the original airing of the show concludes. Why it was only posted today is beyond be, but check out the video below.
Just last week the band released "Mermaid," a 12" vinyl single that features two tracks that will not be featured on I Am Very Far, both the title track as well as "Walked Out n a Line." If you don't have a record player, you can get both tracks on Amazon. Or, if you're cheap, listen here.
